Overview: When entrepreneurs want to launch projects, one of the most difficult tasks is finding reliable and affordable employees. We are a company of professionals providing a wide range of services to help businesses develop from concept to success. We work via a network of home offices, communicating amongst ourselves and with our clients through an online collaborative system. We've thankfully helped dozens of entrepreneurs and small businesses and we enjoy continuing to do so.

We're based mostly in Israel and the US in a network of home offices. We seek to employ qualified professionals with entrepreneurial backgrounds. Our ideal employee candidate is someone involved with the study of Torah, either via support (such as a spouse of someone involved in Torah study) or someone who is looking to divide their day between working and learning.

We choose to employ these types of individuals, especially those who live in Israel, one of the startup centers of the world, because the Torah contains moral lessons and thought developing content that we've found to help shape ideal, reliable employees.

We're now entered in a contest that can greatly help us find clients and in turn help us support our ideal employee base. Please take a moment to vote here: http://bit.ly/dgLBE7, there is no sign up needed and you can do it daily. Please share this with as many people as possible, thank you.

The Anglo-list.com is new information and consumer guide for English-speakers in Israel or people considering living or visiting the country.

The website is a synthesis of information that gives people practical ideas and tips about living in the country.

Though the Anglo-list is in English and is primarily geared towards the large immigrant population: veterans, new immigrants and prospective immigrants, the site has language accessibility and on-line translation in 50 different languages.

The site provides real and practical advice on how and where to do things in Israel - things that can take you years to learn.

The Anglo-list connects to other Aliyah websites and Jewish Federations. It offers information about paying bills, shipping, medical, education and transportation to name but a few. A phonetic dictionary with useful word and phrases and a guide to Hebrew slang make it easy for the non Hebrew speaker to get around.

Another feature of the website in a list of professional services - service providers who offer their services in English - a great source of frustration for new immigrants.

As the Anglo-list.com is a private Web site we can make recommendations. New immigrants  can advertise their services which in turn is an employment opportunity as well. Access to employment opportunities and information for entrepreneurs is also featured on the site.

The site is has been endorsed by the Mayor of Haifa -  Yona Yahav.

"The information on this Web site will assist all the English-speaking communities in Haifa with their integration," Yahav wrote on the site. "Your full integration will further the prosperity, development and cultural aspects of the city, which will be of benefit to all of us."

The Anglo-list also features the personal accounts of immigrants from all backgrounds. They share their experiences and in this way provide support, comfort and inspiration to others. They realize that they're not alone and it gives them a lot of hope for the future."

Plans for the future see the Anglo-list expanding to incorporate immigrants of all languages and their communities around Israel.

Discussion on Professionalism and Pedagogy in 'One-Year' Israel Programs

Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 7:30 PM

Hosted by the Israel Center, 22 Keren HaYesod St., Jerusalem

Panel Discussion with:

Mrs. Mali Brofsky, R. Yamin Goldsmith, R. Dani Goldstein and R. Alex Israel.

Dr. Yoel Finkelman, Moderator; Director of Projects & Research, ATID

Audience Discussion and Concluding Response:

Rabbi Chaim Brovender, President, ATID

ATID recently published two short essays entitled "The Economics of Edutainment," asking hard questions about a declining educational atmosphere in yeshivot and seminaries which educate Diaspora students in Israel, and pointing a finger at a lack of economic professionalism and poor treatment of staff in at least some schools. Many respondents thanked ATID for saying what others feared to say, while others suggested that lamenting problems did little to solve them. We invite educators and other concerned parties to join us for an evening of discussion on "The Economics of Edutainment." Four panelists, all experienced teachers or administrators in one-year programs for men and women, will raise differing perspectives on the changing landscape of our educational institutions, after which we will make the first steps in convening smaller working groups to help propose solutions to the problems we decry.

Each element is there for a reason and plays a very specific role in the structure and flow of the Haggada.  This class will examine all of the particular aspects of the Haggada and try to answer the questions, "why is it there?" and "what does it mean?"  We will also look at the story of Yetziat Mitzraim, and by way of Midrash, attempt to uncover the "behind the scenes" story embedded in the pesukim.

The class will take place on Wednesdays at 10 PM Israel time/8 PM London time/3 PM Eastern time/12 PM Pacific time, beginning February 24th

Discover a great kosher wine shop in New Jersey

-Adrienne Turner
East Brunswick Budget Wine Examiner

Not all kosher wine is created equal. Recently mentioned in a New York Times article, even observant Jews assume that Kosher means wines made from heavy concord grapes. This couldn’t be any further from the truth. Today’s kosher wines are produced to appeal to the masses. It seems that overnight the kosher wine industry has been transformed, thanks to our many friends in Israel and Europe who distribute their wines to the United States.  The majority of these good kosher wines can appeal to many, regardless of whether you are an observant Jew or not.  It’s no longer your grandma’s heavy Malaga grape wine (sorry, Grandma).

With so much kosher wine being distributed, now the question becomes, where can you shop to find a wide selection of kosher wines, not your standard run of the mill Manishewitz. The answer is Teaneck Wine Cellar located on West Englewood Ave.

Teaneck Wine Cellar is kosher wine shop specializing in only kosher wines and spirits. What’s so impressive about the shop is their large selection and knowledge of the kosher wine and spirits industry. The shelves are stocked with even high end kosher wines including Segals, Herzog, Yarden and Dalton. Best of all is that on Thursday evenings there is a wine tasting for your pleasure, presented by knowledgeable wine representatives. Effectively, you can “try” some wine before you “buy” it.

After perusing the isles you’ll agree the selection is amazing. You may even walk away from the tasting with a couple of bottles.  And if you’re looking for a special bottle, the owner will be glad to assist you.
Try it. You’ll like it!
